about the game

claim.iograb the most land in a multiplayer game

A free multiplayer land-grab game. Swipe or use the arrow keys to steer, cut other players’ trails and climb the leaderboard. No download, no account.

claim.io is a free multiplayer land-grab game you play in the browser. You are a glossy cube on a 64 by 64 grid that never stops moving. Steer it with a swipe, the arrow keys or WASD, and own the biggest share of the map you can.

Inside your own land you are safe. Step out and you leave a trail behind you. Come back into your land and the trail becomes land, along with everything the loop encloses, including land that belonged to other players. While you are out, anyone who touches your trail knocks you out, and so does running into your own trail or the wall.

Play online against real players with bots filling the empty seats, open a private room for friends with a link, or play solo against five, seven or nine bots. The daily arena gives everyone the same map and bots for the day, with one scored attempt.

questions

claim.io questions

How do you claim land in claim.io?

Leave your land and you draw a trail. Steer back into your own land and the trail becomes yours, along with every cell the loop encloses. Bigger loops claim more, but they keep you out longer.

How do you get knocked out?

Five ways: someone crosses your trail while you are out, you run into your own trail, you hit the wall, you crash head-on into another player outside your land, or someone encloses every cell of land you own.

Can you take land from other players?

Yes. A loop claims everything it encloses, whoever owned it before. Enclose all of a player's land and they are knocked out, and the kill is yours.

What happens in a head-on crash?

When two players move into the same cell, or swap cells, each one who is not entering its own land is knocked out. If you are heading into your own land, you survive and the other player does not.

Do I need an account to play online?

No. Pick a nickname of up to 12 characters and you are in a room in seconds. Quick match puts you with up to nine others, and bots fill empty seats so there are always at least eight players.

How do private rooms work?

Choose play with friends to open a room. You get a short code and a link to send. Up to ten players can join, and the person who opens the room picks the bot difficulty or turns bots off.

How is the score worked out?

Your score is your peak share of the map in one life, as a percentage. Kills, time alive and your best rank are shown alongside it. Solo runs are replayed on the server before they reach the leaderboard.
