toon is a free cartoon color guessing game you play in the browser. Each round shows a familiar cartoon character or brand logo with one region painted the wrong color, like a hedgehog in lime green.

Three strips sit beside it: hue, saturation and brightness. They start on the wrong color, and you drag them until the region looks the way you remember it, then submit. The closer your color, the more the round is worth.

A run is five rounds worth up to 10 points each, 50 in all. Pick easy, hard or brutal, and play the daily set, five rounds that are the same for every player that UTC day.

How do you play toon?

Each round shows a cartoon character or logo with one region in the wrong color. Drag the hue, saturation and brightness strips until that region matches the color you remember, then submit. Five rounds make a run.

How is a round scored?

Each round is worth 0 to 10 points, measured by how close your color is to the real one as the eye sees it, not by matching numbers. Hue mistakes cost the most. A full run scores up to 50.

Do I need to know color codes?

No. You never type a hex code. The strips show the colors as you drag, so you only need to remember what the character or logo looks like.

How do hints work?

You get two hints a run, at most one per round, on easy and hard. A hint dims each strip except a window covering 16 percent of it, and the right value sits inside that window. Hints do not lower your score.

What changes between easy, hard and brutal?

Easy asks for the big, obvious colors, like skin or a main logo color. Hard adds smaller details such as shoes, trousers and trim. Brutal uses the hard set with no hints and a 3.5 second timer that submits whatever color you are on when it runs out.

Is there a daily toon challenge?

Yes. The daily set gives every player the same five rounds, picked from the UTC date and the difficulty, so your daily score is comparable to anyone else that day.

Is toon free, and does it work on mobile?

Yes. toon is free at onedge.fun with no download and no account, and the strips work with touch or a mouse on phones, tablets and computers. Ads never interrupt a round.
